Thats Not My Name
Thats Not My Name was the first single from The Ting Tings, it set the tone for all the singles that have so far followed. It was released on the local record label 'Switchflicker' however it did not manage to enter the charts. The single is set to be re-released on 12th May 2007. This time it will be under ‘Columbia Records’ in anticipation of their debut album 'We Started Nothing' a week later on the 19th May 2008
The Ting Tings
Already a firm favourite with Zane Lowe (it says here), ‘Great DJ’ is a no-flab electro-pop nugget which suggests The Ting Tings’ rider is made up solely of Skittles and a crate of Smirnoff Ice. It’s ‘That’s Not My Name’, however, which suggests a future that’ll be more than the label of 21st-century Shampoo. “I’m the last chick standing up against the wall”, wails singer Katie White. Not for much longer.
